Hybrid Agile Project Execution model comprises of the Stage Gate project framework and the Agile/Scrum execution approach blended into one project execution model. Hybrid Agile can be used to run project with SW, HW and mechanical content or whenever there is a need to achieve flexibility and performance of the project teams.
- Objectives/Key learning points
- Understand the key principles behind pure scrum
- Understand key principles behind hybrid model (iterative, adaptive, execute all project phases in each sprint etc.)
- Understand why it is necessary to combine stage gate and scrum into a hybrid model for project with mixed content (HW, SW and mechanical).
- Understand how to define key project uncertainties and turn them into sprint objectives
- Understand how skeleton planning concept supports sprint thinking and execution of a project and why this has advantages over traditional stage gate model.
- Understand the concept of a fixed project vision and adaptive requirements to meet the vision
- Understand when and how requirements may be fixed early and when they have to remain flexible.
- Teaching methodology
- Theory (1-2 days scalable) backed up by real life examples and discussion
- Implementation methodology
- On the real client project hybrid agile execution model will be developed and rolled out
