Project on Time is an organisational problem solving and performance improvment tool aimed at identifying root cases of delays in projects (of any kind). In that context this uses a similar methodology as Volume on Time (C.4.7). The methodolgy is based on open-question interviews with the relevaqnt project stakeholders, who have the content knowledge of what might have caused the project to be delayed relative to original project completion target.
- Objectives/Key learning points
- Understand the purpose of the Project of Time challenge
- Identify data that is required to quantify the delays
- Create a mindset of how to proactively influence the projects to complete on time.
- Teaching Methodology
- Short theoretical introduction followed by a facilitated discussion how to implement it in the client organisation
- Implementation Methodology
- Set up Project on Time project and identify the root causes using the interview plus data analysis methodology. Analyse the root causes of deviation to a desired (target) timing. Identify and prioritise actions to improve the realisation of the project on time in future projects by elimination of systemic root causes.
- Implement actions and monitor the project completion against the target.
