Project scaling and complexity assessment allows the project manager to review the key work streams, identify challenges based on the Fact Pack, identify functional activities that should be scaled up or down & document the reasoning before project kick off.
- Objectives/Key learning points
- Learn to match project activities and deliverables based on size and complexity of project to make execution as lean as possible.
- This scaling assessment becomes part of lessons learned and is part of continuous improvement for future projects.
- Teaching methodology
- Walk through the Pre-Kick-Off Scaling Assessment with the Fact Pack insights to understand what Project Manager should/can scale down.
- Implementation methodology
- Apply scalability factors to the real client project. This is an add-on to the planning tool (see E.2.15)
